I have a disaggregation question I am hoping someone my have a solution for.
I am currently working on a planning model to support our revenue budgeting cycle. The first step to building next years revenue budget is to reforecast the current year at a yearly level. The view I have been asked to make uses a key figure, Budget Units, which is a stored/editable key figure for all periods past and present at the product/month planning level but defaults to Actual Units based on the value of another key figure (Display Actual).
The users would like to make edits to Budget Units when aggregated by time to the yearly level. The challenge I have is that the system disaggregates the full amount entered across all periods in the year (including previous periods) or disaggregates the full amount of the entry to only those which are set to be displayed. What we need is for the system to disaggregate only the difference between the original value and the new value to those periods not displaying the acutals. Is this possible in IBP? Is it a candidate for advanced simulation?
