Thanks for the links. I have had a look at the Webi RESTful SDK for 4.1 SP6.

So what this tells me is that the RESTful API for scheduling is in the Webi RESTful SDK and not the BI platform RESTful SDK. I couldn't see confirmation in there that we can schedule to SFTP and secure SMTP though. Anthony has suggested that this may be added in 4.2 releases.
